Threesomes
In a sharp departure for Theater
of Man, three actors created the world of Threesomes in
collaboration with director Cecile Pineda and sculptural artist,
Nancy Worthington. Structured not so much on the notion of event,
it investigated a state of pure being, punctuated by an ongoing
three-ring clown show featuring actors Greg Wagers, Mary Tepper,
and Tom Macaulay.
"There are no `roles' in Threesomes, nor is there
a `plot'. There is structure, however, but more like (that of)
a symphony or a phrase-pattern. A free-wheeling, stream-of-consciousness
encounter with the inner and outer self, Threesomes moved
the audience to think about what was happening in the work, not
always the case when you go to the theater these days."
